Re: Febi
I'd have to check in work later but if I remember correctly febi has a 2 year warranty
I'd consider it pretty close to oem because most of the stuff I've got for my x5 from febi seems to have had the bmw part numbers ground off

Re: Air suspension
start with basics ...... fuse/relay
the compressor is the same one as fitted to land rover / range rover / audi allroad
I've heard of problems on all 3 of them but not on the x5 (I might be wrong on that)

Re: Possible turbo issue? Engine much louder under acceleration & less go at speed
Is there an egr replacement kit for the 3.0?
Like a blank off kit..... Sounds to me like maybe the egr valve is dieing
I've not read that you've replaced it but if you have ignore this post lol
I was about to say that the discovery 3 has a weak egr but then I remembered that it's a 2.7 not the 3.0

Re: Rear noise help....
i always put the stands under the jacking point on the sill
releasing the air is easy .... pull the relay or fuse for the air compressor and then release the pipe nuts on the black spheres in the boot

Yeah but not on the wheel bearings. Deflating the suspension will show up any loose joints at the back.
[/quote]
True..... I'd misread the previous post and thought that the bearings had been checked and were ok
