If I were you, I'd just whip the manifold off and get rid of the flaps, you will need to purchase the delete kit, plenty on flea Bay :) , its not a bad job takes about 1hr ....one thing the nuts on one side of the manifold are easily dropped so undo them to nearly the top the use a magnet to unscrew ...

Crank no start
If its anything like the e38 V8....a short move will flood it....so what you do is....(battery fully charged)..put throttle flat to the floor, turn key to crank and dont let it go!...dont pump the pedal!...flat to floor...keep the key at crank position...dont stop....eventually it will start to fire ...

You say you bought and fitted a new one...new what?.. Manifold? as these on some models are made of stainless and are prone to cracking...mine had 7 cracks in it, so changed it for a cast one....have you run diagnostics?....could be the map sensor playing up which is if I recall correctley is fitted ...

I started out with just a radio in my old mk1 Capri, then upgraded to a new radio with cassette player...then to CD's etc...now I just download albums from amazon music to my phone and bluetooth straight to the car.....still have all my CD's and the old vinyls of course

I wouldn't even go there to be honest.....made in china for a start.....they will look naff, probably mist up in winter or even summer and throw up errors.....when I had my e38 and went to meets some had similar fitted with problems.....just my opinion..

Cheers all for the input Marti, great idea, will try this out once the evil-bay £11 one drops out, I'd say give it 6mths only because that door barely gets used lol It does work a treat as said done it a few times on my old X5 and a couple of mates X5's one of them still has his and I repaired it 7 ...

Done this a few times, find a small screw that will fit in the end of the lug with a modest head and a washer big enough to hold the lug in place on the inside of the door skin ....sorted.

Whats the mileage?, cant make it out on the video....there's a great possibility its you injectors coming to the end of life if your mileage is above 160kmh

Trans fail normally appears due to low battery voltage but you say alls good there, when was the box last serviced?, it maybe a solonoid on the valve control body playing up which they'll check for you if you havent had the box serviced.....recommend service interval from ZF is 60k
