Re: Performance in the snow.
I’ve got the same model as you and mine was rubbish so I ended up stumping up for a winter wheel set of tyres and alloys. The Land Rover Discovery ran on similar Pirelli Scorpions and never gave me any problems whatsoever.
Is there a noticeable difference in stability?

Re: Performance in the snow.

Thanks for the replies. It must be the summer continentals that are the problem.  I found some pirelli all seasons yesterday think I'll give them a go.

Performance in the snow.

Had some snow a couple of weeks ago and some more today. Went out in the X5 and it performed terrible. Oversteered like mad and traction control just let it spin 180 degrees. I had a range rover a few years ago when we had bad snow and that was excellent. Really disappointed with the X5. Didn't feel ...

Real world mpg

Hi,

I have the 30d and am currently at 26 mpg according to the computer, mostly town/dual carriageway driving. Seems low according to the official figures. I also read a post somewhere that the 40d is more efficient than the 30d.

Just wondered what other people where getting.

Re: Eco Pro Mode

Have you seen this video ? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FSLnXTg9jLo it shows the BMW pulling with just one wheel on the ground. I presume the traction control will brake the wheel that is spinning and allow the other wheel on the axle to drive. Did you have the traction on or off when you were ...

New Owner with a few questions...

Hi,

I've just had my 2014 X5 30D for a couple of weeks and have a few questions.

1. Can you make the audio automatically quieter or off when the parking sensors are on?

2. Sport mode as default ?

3. Stop/Start off as default ?

4. Auto wipers on as default ?

Thanks

Marc
