Re: replace single tyre?
I get all manner of weird things using Diamaris on my 20" style 87s. I've had a full wheel alignment, checked the rear bags, front springs, bushes etc and I think it must just be the awful roads where I am. I get slightly odd wear at times and of course you can't rotate these damned things. I tend ...

Re: Stick on flared arches
I believe you can remove yours and fit the larger 4.6/4.8 versions. Don't forget you'll need the wider rear bumper flares as well and you might need to fit the wider running board covers or the wider non running board covers too. I think BMW still sell them as a kit but it's not cheap and I could ...

Re: Loose sensor
If you haven't already done it you should be able to get the pad sensor back in the pad using a little grease without removing the wheel

Re: Stick on flared arches
I have to say I thought just like the bumper valances that they had plastic tabs that pushed through the bodywork and were clamped by the clips. I don't particularly like the extended arches but I did want the iS valances. What a pain in the bum they were to remove from the bumpers, paint and bond ...

Re: Style 87 20" fits into spare wheel well?
Yeah I had the 19 Tiger Claws from new but changed across to the 20s. I keep a can of that god awful puncture repair in the car but as I understand the 18" spare is better suited to going on with a punctured 20?

Style 87 20" fits into spare wheel well?
Hi all, Just a quick 1. I have the style 87s on my 3.0d and I carry a can of the BMW puncture repair rubbish as I don't like the space saver. I'm being really lazy and can't be bothered to remove a wheel to see - does a style 87 fit into the spare wheel well? I'm thinking possibly only a front with ...

Re: Battery Cutoff Switch?
All fair points gents it's just I get very little usage out of my cars due to being away a lot with work. All parked securely away from the public etc. I was thinking of locating this on the opposite panel shown so that I could simply lower the rear seat and access the switch. Lock rear doors from ...

Battery Cutoff Switch?
Hi all, I know there are a couple of us who leave our Xs on charge with solar chargers and trickles etc but I was wondering if anyone has bothered to rig up a cutoff switch like BMW fit to all their cars during shipping? I was looking on Xoutpost and it looks like a couple of the lads over there ...

Re: Front Passenger Wiper (E53 X5 Bosch Super Plus)
Well I went old skool and just bent the arm to accept the wiper. Looking closer at the arm before bending it did look as though someone had bent it previously. I can only assume that was to ensure the aero wiper (horrid things sorry) made good contact.

Re: Solar Powered Trickle Charger?
I use a generic Maplins solar trickle charger on both the X5 (E53 3.0d) and my M3 (E36 3.2). The M3 seems to do absolutely fine regardless of the time in between usage. The X5 will be flat if more than say 2 months passes but that's usually more than adequate for me. I work away a lot hence the ...

Front Passenger Wiper (E53 X5 Bosch Super Plus)
Hello all, Just replacing the front wipers on the truck and seem to have a problem. I'm using Bosch Super Plus as I don't think the Aero versions look quite right on the E53 (I know I know sorry). Listed as 24" for drivers and 22" for passenger side. Passenger looks to be the right size however the ...
