I have purchased a Thule 992000 Race Way from Amazon, I can confirm that it fits the X4 and the boot will open.

Yes I have the service pack until Jan 2020, the car is only 7-8 months old with 2250 on the clock.
I actually have the white leather, it just seemed to suit the car better than black, personal choice I know.

My spec is:

Colour A90 Sophisto Grey ...

Well after driving Q5, Q3, Evoque I kept coming back to the X4.
My main reason for my first BMW was:
1 Q5 new shape is out next year no point buying an old version, had one before and while its a fine car it feels a bit dated.
2. Q3 too small
