Re: E70 Cuts out when revved...? Injector?
Well the AA mechanic didn't even look under the bonnet. With regards to everything being plugged in, it was done 500 miles ago all the servicing so you'd think any issue would have arised earlier. I have read on a few posts that a faulty injector will cause cutting out of the engine... There's no ...

Re: Idrive LCD Gone Dim
Yes, tried the reset but that didn't help. Brightness is fine in the menu.
Puzzling as it works fine just the light is dim.
Read on here possibly battery low could cause this - anyone else had this issue?

Re: Engine malfunction, reduced power...
Pretty certain that's an injector fault. Injectors which don't perform well will cause lack of fuel getting through and reduce power delivery.

Re: Newbie x5 owner - struggles under 3000rpm - fault codes below
A new egr fitted but still showing egr fault in a diagnostic check, along with Airflow & dpf... Had soot levels checked and it said 64% available - would that bring up the dpf error on the scanner?? I'm thinking the fault may lie elsewhere but Iv had glow plugs / relay, full service, new egr, but ...

Re: Can a DPF regen be done when in Limp mode? Dpf delete anyone?
Hmmm I wouldn't like to have it removed however there seems to be quite a few people have them removed and remapping ecu. My findings are that a removed dpf will cause smoke hence mot failure however if the car is remapped for correct emissions it would pass emissions and smoke tests for mot Does ...

Can a DPF regen be done when in Limp mode? Dpf delete anyone?
As per title,
My x5 is in limp mode - is there anyway of doing a regen / forced regen?
Has anyone on here had dpf removed and ecu remapped? Pros / cons please

Re: Dpf warning codes 480a 481a 4D00 help!!
Hmmm, Iv read a few posts other members with the same issue... But some do a forced regen and it usually cures it - however no one has actually said whether they have replaced the exhaust back pressure sensor....? Il have to get it checked by an Indy to see how much of the DPF is actually clogged as ...

Re: Newbie x5 owner - struggles under 3000rpm - fault codes below
£750 spent and still none the wiser! Fitted a new EGR valve and car is still very sluggish - not picking up speed Local Indy now checked with scanner and faults are showing different things, first time it was this http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/08/22/98e233cbfab65a9f553d10ce7b97d327.jpg Then ...

Re: Newbie x5 owner - struggles under 3000rpm - fault codes below
I totally agree with you mate, the good old days a real mechanic would pin point a fault without all this code reading malarky... It does just seem too easy for them to plug a machine in and replace whatever part shows up on the machines!! Unfortunately my mechanic is going by his code reader and ...
