Had this problem on mine and the brake callipers were sticking both were replaced problem solved

Whining noise when cold
Took my car to dealers with a loud whining noise at low revs they diagnosed small turbo fault on my x5 35d so they replaced it. The noise didn't stop so they replaced big turbo noise was still there they have now replaced manifold and swirflaps . Any ideas

Had same problem mine was faulty sensor they replaced sensor it wouldn't reset so the dealer had to drain oil for second time then it reset

Got car back checked hidden temps got to 97degrees and stay there for hour half cars seems to drive better after software update and mpg has gone up

They kept it three days to do some software updates and a recall on pulley with new fan belt

They checked dpf was replaced six months ago and the car gets to 93degrees all the time and goes to 105 degrees when doing a regen . The dealership replaced the control unit and all the glow plugs when they did dpf thermostats were also done all done under bmw auc warranty

They did take some oil out and replaced a pulley and fan belt said would reset after twenty miles but didn't looks like it will be a new sensor

Whilst checking I drive my car is showing oil level too high but when checking dipstick level is slightly below maximum could it be sensor

I had exact same problem the dealer diagnosed a leaking left suspension air bag and replaced it three weeks later the right hand side went to

I got two years auc with mine told them that would be a dealbraker if only got one. They give us two years and chucked in super guard paint protection
