At long last found the problem. It was near side anti roll bar drop link.
And yes a BFO bar was the finder of said problem. Thanks all who replied.

My mechanic who I trust checked main bushes and balll joints and changed what was needed for mot.
Am away from car for a week now so will follow your advise when I get back and post update.

Update.
The same noise is there when driving 20-30 mph along a flat road
Swaying the car sharply from left to right.

Done a few miles now. Right hand side has gone back up to normal level and no warnings on dash.

Thanks for that. Checked the wiring yesterday and all seems intact.
Have just replaced the sensor and reset the fault code. Will drive
to work tomorrow and see what happens

Update. I have finally got round to getting the car in the air and looking at the sensor and arms. Nothing was broken arms on both sides were folded the same way. The ball joints on the arms were clogged up with sh*t so I remove the sensor and arm from both side and cleaned the arms to free them up ...

09 Control- time fault 'lowering'
02 ride level sensor , right.
Does this mean that it is definitely the sensor
Or could it be the arm. I know I'm going have

Thanks for all the good info guys.
I have just ordered an icarsoft diagnostic scanner so will plug it in when it arrives.
I will post back my findings. In the mean time I'll have the back wheels off and check the rear sensors.
Is there a sensor on both sides or just one?

That arm I was talking about is the one that is attached to the track control arm. And then attached to the plastic arm of the vertical movement sensor.
