LED Tail Lights

Hi.

I have a set of LED tail lights for sale including load resistors for "Check" errors.

When I first installed these, they flickered so I added further resistors to ensure no flickering.

This extra mod is normally charged at €40 each light.

I had these installed in my own 2006 X5 up until I ...

Re: EGR replace or Bypass ?

To the right of the manifold up the front.

Remove the engine cover and you'll see it.

Re: EGR replace or Bypass ?

I tried cleaning mine too...but the fault came back again a few weeks later.

The sense I got from my research, was that there is slightly more to it than just keeping the tree huggers :D happy.

As important as this is.....opinion is divided on whether to bypass or not.

Re: EGR replace or Bypass ?

I buy from here:

http://eshop.original-teile.de/

Cheaper than a stealer and always spot on for parts.

Think it was about €110 aprox.

Re: Front PDC Acoustic Generator

So I checked all the connections in the boot today and also put my ear to all the front sensors, they are all clicking away.

I'm starting to think its the acoustic generator under the drivers foot well......the odd thing is, the chimes (such as washer fluid low or below 3c warnings) all come from ...

Re: EGR replace or Bypass ?

Just today, I replaced my EGR valve due to a gas recirculation error being thrown up.

I had thought about putting in a bypass valve, but there is a general sense of confusion regarding the merits of doing such a thing.

In the end, I decided to trust the white coats that developed these engines in ...

Re: Front PDC Acoustic Generator

Pretty sure !

I guess I'll have to wait for the sensor to go bad then in that case.

Hmmm,.. did have the battery out and installed a T91 there recently so maybe an unplug/reply in that area might reseat something that got disturbed !

Worth a shot considering the control is in that area.

Front PDC Acoustic Generator

They're coming hard and fast this weather ! God damn !

Lastest fault I have is the front PDC acoustic generator (thing that beeps) is not functioning.

ALL PDC sensors are good

No fault code when I run a diagnostic

Green LED stays lit

Back Generator beeps just fine.

Any ideas as to ...

Re: Webasto woes

Just to be sure....the diagnostic says to "check LHA change over valve"....is this the water valve I refer to above (item 4)?

Or am I looking at the wrong thing?

Re: Webasto woes

Yes it looks easy enough to get at but I'm not sure about stripping it down. Looks like a pretty solid/sealed component.

The funny thing is....a couple of days ago, it was cold and I drove for a bit, pulled up at my destination a couple of miles away and was totally freaked by the white smoke ...

Re: Webasto woes

Hi Tim.

Yes-thats a good point....its late now and too dark to be messing ! So i'll see what happens when I disconnect the remote, but I think this fault is not related.

Its slightly more complicated...When I say I could start the heater via the MID, I was still getting a fault.

I replaced the ...

LCM LightCheck Module IV

Hi.

I have the following code:

LCM LightCheck Module IV

oE LCM: Control-unit fault

I have no issues (that I know) ! Just the fault.

Up front I have a set of xenon upgrades - as in I fitted the lamps and ballast to the existing headlamp-LED halo upgrades-led lamps in the fogs and led tails.

I ...

Webasto woes

Hi.

So I'm trying to get the webasto on my 2006 3.0d working.

I have a remote installed, coded the aux heating but now I have the following errors...

33 IHKA: Inside-sensor fan
21 IHKA: IH check valve. LHA changeover valve

I checked the Inside sensor-fan by pulling out the climate control on ...
