CIC system depends of E designation models been released from 08/2008. From 10/2010 they change TCU, MULF to Combox. Had few 2009-2010 e70 models, CIC been on board from factory with TCU or MULF or both.

I did over 20 Combox retrofits on e70, always in person reprogramming CIC for correct firmware to get apps working. On 99% don't use FSC codes as in this way aren't required. To flash CIC you need more equipment than just simple d-can cable as HU can be only flashed via fibre optic connector, so ...

Bmw apps 6NR can't be just coded without proper firmware update. It is not possible to code this option on 2013 e70 remotely.

I had done few CIC retrofits, actually have one complete set CIC with DAB. If your car has rear view camera, then good emulator is needed or more advance job to replace JBBF and add PDC.

Just do this properly and take feed from junction box under passenger seat. Add fuse, connector for 12v, ground from chassis point, wire up to place you want.

Is possible to manage internet via personal hotspot with any bmw with Combox, although not always works as should. No contract with bmw, just via coding.
