Re: 2005 4.8iS Doesn't like going to sleep. Funny issues with CD/NAV DVD

I've taken my 4.8 to BMSport (bmsport.com) in Bexleyheath for routine mechanical servicing a couple of times. They have a done a good job, but not cheap. Cant comment on their knowlegde of the electricary though.

That 650 with the 4.8 must be awesome. Have you test driven it?

Re: 4.8 v8..........more or less reliable than 4.4?

I definitely enjoy driving the 4.8 and hearing the v8 roar! Depends what you are after. I dont do many miles as I live in central London so enjoying the drive when I do was more important than economy. But given that I enjoy driving it so much I find myself looking for excuses to drive it more. Then ...

Re: "mine" for a while

Thanks everyone. Just got off the phone with kindertons. They "guaranteed me 100%" that no costs would come back to me. The vehicle that did the damage is a hire car due back to Gatwick 6th Sept. Which I suppose might make it a bit easier for them to claim back the money Seems legit enough but still ...

"mine" for a while

Got the pleasure of a 15 plate 3 litre diesel msport for a while. Thats the good bit. Bad bit is that i got into my car on Monday to see a note on the windscreen saying my car had been hit by another driver who stopped to look at the damage but left without leaving a note. Thankfully he stated in ...

Wanted - dog guard brackets

Hi, I just bought a second hand dog guard for my E53 X5, but it seems to be missing the brackets that secure it at bottom. Anybody have any to sell or know where I could get them from?

Cheers

Re: New member - X5 4.8 V8

Yeah absolutely good to plan ahead for the fueling strategy when travelling across Europe. I was surprised at how big the difference in fuel costs can be from country to country particularly when they are so close like France, Belgium and Netherlands. In Dunkrik Total charged me €1.549/litre, ...
