Hi Fenj no never really use the mpg computer as we all know it gives you differing figures dependant on town/motorway and time spent on motorway etc. so this is more that fact that you know how much you normally get from your car and you notice more if all of a sudden your filling up 3 times a week ...

thanks jason :) , it was only the pre fuuel pump that was replaced and not the main pump, its more on the smoother gear changes etc, its really improved. i am looking to sell the car anyway but when i buy my E70 in a couple of months time i will be sure to bring it down to you for a remap as i have ...

The indy did it, they have all the BMW equipment. According to them it should have had at least 4 updates since 2004. i would highly recommend it as i honestly cannot tell you the difference its made to the drive of my X. thats why i would really like to know what it does? etc, i beleive from ...

Further update : i got a call from the Indy , they said they ran some further tetss and the main high pressure fuel pump (£1000 part) is ok with retaining and contsnat pressure. they have identified the fault to be the 'pre fuel pump' so WD have ammended the costings and it has been replaced - ...

hi Guys .........quick update........ its been in at the indy most of the afternoon, thye ahve checked the relay and that seems fine, they did not get around to performing the leak off test on the injectors as yet as i only dropped it mid afternoon. they will give it a going over tomorrow... however ...

Hi guys, thanks for the replies, no glow plug warning lights etc showing as yet, its typical with x's, just when you really need them to come into their own they let you down.
its booked in for a injector leak test etc tomorrow, and preparing for the worst = 889 + Vat for the fuel pump from BMW
