Re: Space saver

I bought one of these new from Sytner for my E70 X5. I have now sold the car and am looking to sell the wheel - it's never been used. Feel free to contact me if you're interested.

Re: Orange cog

Thanks for your reply. I've googled the code earlier today and couldn't find anything. Good call about sending to Carly - I'll do that.

Yes - BMW have repeatedly told me it's sealed for life and won't change the fluid unless there is a problem. Concerned that changing it at 115k may cause further ...

Orange cog

Hi.
On a couple of occasions in the past week, when I start my X5, the orange warning cog appears in the dash. It goes out after 10-15 seconds.

Has anybody experienced this? I'm slightly concerned it will manifest itself into something costly.

I have used the Carly app but only get 9D48 fault ...

Re: Vibration at idle with foot on brake

It was the engine mounts on my car causing the noise. Bought replacement mounts from Leebmann 24 and had my local Sytner dealer fit them. Problem cured.

Vibration at idle with foot on brake

I have an intermittent vibration when I stop and am in drive with either my foot on the brake or the auto hold feature active. Take my foot off the brake and the vibration stops - clearly something is vibration but it's hard to locate - does anybody have any ideas or has anybody experienced similar?

Re: Lower control arm cost

I need the front lower control arms replacing on my E70 X5. I've finally been quoted just shy of £1200.00 by two BMW dealerships in the same group. I haven't got an issue with the price if it's the going rate, as they need doing, but I'm just not sure if that's a fair price or not. Thoughts?

Lower control arm cost

I need to replace the lower control arms on my E70 as it was an advisory on my MOT. Does anybody have experience of what this would cost at a BMW dealer? My two locals dealers would only give me price if I booked it in for a two hour diagnostic session first which I'm loathe to do as I know what the ...

Thanks for the welcome.

Sorry I forgot about the details - it's a 2008 58 3.0d SE with Dynamic pack.

Vibration/ drone at idle

I have an E70 X5 which has a vibration when the car is stationary/ idle and my foot is on the brake or the auto park brake is active. It only seems to happen when the engine is warm or after a long run on the motorway. I thought it was the engine over but I've removed and refitted this but it doesn ...
