Hi Sanj, yes DVD based unit and OEM disc, all works as I should apart from holding split screen and prospective view resets too, time and date stays ok,

Sat nav problem
hi, has anyone got any idea why my sat nav keeps reverting back to split screen every time I start the car after leaving for little wile, set it to full screen and prospective view and keeps re setting.
New battery recently fitted, did it before the battery change.

Thanks mate, it was given to me a several months ago buy a family member who bought it for there car but was to big, but europarts selling for £115/120. With 4 yr warranty.

The wheel on wife's x5 has probably been changed in the past, wheel from e46 & e39 are same fitment & style just a bit slimmer. Recently changed mine, also not keen on the slimmer style so on look out for replacement from x5.

Think I might just put it on and see how it goes, make sure I've got my booster pack in boot or my aa card in my wallet ha, will it cause any serious problems apart from electrical gremlins if any if it is incorrect for the car.

Thanks x5sport, I'm confused. :blink: Just done quick check on euro parts and the listing Says s4 019 but it's got 013 on battery, how can I tell difference between the 2.

hi, can anyone tell me if this is suitable for my e53 BOSCH S4 013 800 AMP 95AH Been doing lots bits/pieces on car in last couple months but not much driving, (doors open starting stopping etc) disconnecting re connecting battery, current battery starts car ok but if leave doors boot open for 5/10 ...

Ok so nav unit bit dated, any recommendations for aftermarket head units, without having auto electrician qualification. I don't want cheap and nasty but I do like a bargain.

Well took the headlight out and tried heating it and the STUPID F***ING T***ING B****ING C***ING THING wouldn't come apart ha, so just considering buying the halo headlights, on the link provided on page one it states some wiring needed, has anyone installed them and if so how was fitting on scale ...

Cool, thanks will take a light unit out this afternoon and see if I can get apart, sounds like I'll have to hide the swear box from the other half for couple hours. Ha. Think I might just order from the link x5-D-sport kindly provided, as he said it looks like they come with transformers ...

Looks great, were did you get halos from, was the wiring straight forward, did you heat light open or cut.

Cool, sounds good, so in layman terms just tap into side light wiring and bingo wiring done (pretty much)

Hi x5-D-Salisbury, yes will def pm you for guide, the only capacitor I'm aware of is the flux one on the delorian (back to the future) and I don't want that one installed, when I hit 88 mph who nows were ill end up. Haha. :)) :o I will do bit research into getting capacitors and ballast resistors ...

Are the halo rings easy to wire in without any error codes, I'm quite happy to attempt splitting headlight and installing halo rings but I'm not 100% with wiring without a dummy's guide
