Re: Parking heater remote start- Enabling

I used the one from maplins. http://www.maplin.co.uk/2-channel-rf-re ... ule-265472 I have seen one on ebay that has the timers slightly cheaper than maplin. I have a scanner that enabled the timers on the OBC. I am in Fife if anyone wants them enabled.

Re: Webasto heater diesel info needed yes or no

Hi Sit
I beleive that there was a few petrols with the heater added rare option. I think a couple of guys on here have them fitted. I expect again it will show up on OBC if it is. I am sure somebody will be able to tell you the location of the heater. So keep looking you might find one.

Re: Webasto heater diesel info needed yes or no

Hello I have the £35 maplin remote with the timer built in. I had this connected / spliced into pin 1 on the webasto. worked perfect. The section "How to" has lots of information on it about this. It takes my car about 25 min to get warmed up. When I say warm, it is warm enough to clear the hard f ...

Re: Parking heater remote start- Enabling

Reading the spec it does say about a latch. That company also had another one no 270790706799. states the output type as The output style: Self-locking, Non-locking, Interlock I presume they are latch non latch and not sure what the interlock is. The latch would certainly hold the 12v on the ...

Re: Parking heater remote start- Enabling

Hi You need to check that the output will latch for a variable amount of time or you will be getting in the car soon. If the output latches continuously then your heater will run all the time until you tell it to stop again with the remote. I have one that latches for different time periods. I think ...

Re: where do you plug in a scanner ?.

Depends on what you want the scanner to do. I have the 1.4 version. I bought it to activate the diesel heater from the timers. Money well spent last winter. It will allow you to change somethings and tells you what faults are within each section ie engine, lights etc. I think this one does other BMW ...

Re: Is it possible that the lights goes automatically on?

Hi tried today. I can get the lights to come on, the side lights and the head lights. They come on using the american 1 version on the LCM in the scanner. So you can always asking the dealer to try it for you. As before I do not know if it makes any difference if you have xenon lights. Hope it helps.

Re: Is it possible that the lights goes automatically on?

Hi I am sure I have been able to se the lights to come on. They put the main beam with the angle eyes. I think it was the american lights. I was really looking to just get the angle eyes on but only tried one setting and put it back to how it was. I do not have xenon lights. I will look again ...

Re: Is it possible that the lights goes automatically on?

Hi The BMW dealer should be able to do it for you. I am sure I had them switched on when I was trying different settings on the scanner. Just for example this one on the page look at the LCM picture. Top right within the image it says "Daytime running lights". This particular item is way over priced ...
