21" Alpinas on BMW X5 E70

Anyone ever put 21" Alpinas (Classic design) on their X5?

My mate has offered me some which will go straight on but wanted to know people's thoughts?

Not sure whether to get them or not

Re: Big End Bearings Gone - Engine Rebuild or Replacement?

I sold it as it was...got around £11k for it as it was so not bad at all!

I've got a F01 7 Series for now which is a lot smoother but I'm sure it won't be long till I'm back in another X5

Re: BMW 7 Series F01

The one I'm looking at has -

Nappa Comfort Seats
Heated Seats front and back
Cameras all round
HUD
TV/DVD

Seriously tempted!

BMW 7 Series F01

Hi,

Anyone had any experience with the 7 series?

Seriously tempted by them as they seem to be very good value for money in comparison to the 5 series (F10).

Re: BMW X5 E70 or F15 any one thinking of selling ?

Hi,

Are you still interested in an X5?

I know of someone who is a BMW Specialist who's got a White One with a crazy amount of extras (only thing is that it's a 61 plate!

58k on the clock - full bmw service history and then serviced by him self since.

Let me know and I can pass on some details?

Re: Big End Bearings Gone - Engine Rebuild or Replacement?

No ideas on the cause as of yet as haven't dropped the sump yet.

It's a 2010 X5 40D M Sport.

Big End Bearings Gone - Engine Rebuild or Replacement?

Will just try and sell the car as it is but if not, can you guys recommend any good engine re-builders or someone to do an engine replacement? i'm just going to fix it and ...

Re: Hi there guys and gals!

Ah lovely!

I've seen this at a few shows and it is lovely!

I've got an E30 M3 Rep Vert in Zinnobar Red with a plate 'E3O NV' which you may have seen once or twice possibly..had a photoshoot not long ago so will be in PBMW too soon!

Any plans for the E70?

Re: Gear Changes not smooth, holding on to the gear for too long?

Thanks for the replies guys...best price i've had so far is £500 from my local bmw specialist. does that sound reasonable?

will try a few more bmw specialists and see what prices I can get.

Will also look into getting a software update done.

Gear Changes not smooth, holding on to the gear for too long?

Hi Guys, I've got a 40d M Sport with 94k on the clock and feel like the gear changing isn't as smooth as it should be? Feels like it's holding onto the gears for too long and I find myself letting go of the accelerator to let it change gear/drop revs. Drove my brothers who has the same car but with ...
