Re: Tyre's Mixed or Not

I have non rft

Pirelli on the front, and Rf Bridgestone on the rear. No issues. I've done it many times over the years. Keep tread depth matched, or transfer box will whine.

No option to close tailgate on key either.

Robot for sale...

A father buys a lie detector robot that slaps people when they lie.
He decides to test it out at dinner one night. The father asks his son what he did that afternoon.
The son says, "I did some homework."
The robot slaps the son.

Re: X5 replacement thoughts

Black one is a 335d with Alpinas, that cracked frequently >:(

M5 had a new gearbox/vanos/ Diff/ oil separators and a load of bits and pieces. I had just renewed the warranty for £1850 at the time, so thought it rude not to capitalise ;)

Blue one is a 130. The only car I ever regret selling. It was ...

Depends what your budget is,

My old M5' 14k worth of warranty work in 3 months, but I was being picky ;)

Common problem, 2 + tons doesn't help. Just changed my fronts for the same reason. Will see if the non runflats wear any better.

As said, TPMS is set through I Drive. I also bought a set of winters and never saw a flake, typical ! Guarantee the minute I sell them, there'll be an avalanche  :))

Re: Looking to buy my first X5

I bought a 4.0d last September, and have put 20k hard miles on it since. I do come from over 35 years in BMW apart from 1 mistake with Jaguar, and would recommend an X5.

They're tough cars, just service the well. There's some knowledgeable people on here that will answer most queries, go for it.
