Hi. Hope everybody is well. I have a wabco air pump from a 2004 4.8is. Car had front and rear airbags. Will this fit a x5 that only has rear airbag? Will it fit a range rover? If so which model.
Thanks

Re: bmw x5 4.8is steering angle sensor fault signal invalid
UPDATE replaced the sensor which was a pain in the backside. >:( ok so after the sensor was replaced i used the bmw scanner 1.4.0 to code it. i think this was successful. However i could not calibrate the sensor using the software. So i ended up going to BMW specialist who did it on auto logic. Now ...

Re: bmw x5 4.8is steering angle sensor fault signal invalid
Wow that looks very simple. I will definitely give it a go.
Is cleaning sensor of any benefit? Can it be repaired? If not I'll just buy the used genuine BMW one.
I also have the bmw 1.4.0 scanner. Would that be able to code and recalibrate sensor or is it only gt1 and autologic?
Thanks

Re: brake problem with e53 x5 4.8is traction control light help pls!!
the garage had auto logic. I was there for a short while and i could see them struggling as one guy was with the machine inside the car on the ramp and the other was near the wheels. I could hear the ABS kick in when bleeding. So must have had air in the pump as it seemed to be really bad. The part ...

Update. Car has been with Indy's for 4 days. the rear brake pipes were corroded. Both replaced. They told me the bleeding was an absolute night mare.
Good news is brakes are back.
Bad news is it wasn't a cheap job.

Thank you Richard for your fast replies.
Are the 4.8is brakes same as the rest of the x5?
I've got it booked in tomorrow at a specialist. See what happens ::)

I had to add 300ml to get to Max line. There was brake fluid in bottle but quite below minimum.

Re: X5 door handle Carrier
Hi. I got the same carrier. It's OK. Still feels a bit stiff to open door. Don't know if its related or not.
There is a how to guide somewhere that I used. Its not very difficult if your handy with tools.
Bit far from you otherwise would have given you a hand
