Re: Useless running boards
Seems that most of the replies agree that what they do is look good. Actually I mentioned it because before getting an X5 I was driving an GMC Envoy (completely...."unremarkable" vehicle, so to say), and I couldn't help noticing that running boards on that thing served their purpose nicely, it felt ...

[quote="e53_kash"] Now the steering wheel shake has almost gone and a LOT better! however there is still a slight shake between 60-70mph... after 70mph it seems to go and is virtually non existent (wasn't like this before the balancing)... What else is there to check for the small shake I am still ...

Yes, but would you if you didn't have to watch your suit?

Re: Useless running boards
It is not just you, that is exactly what I am talking about. That seems to be their only purpose.

Unlocking the door manually
Hello, My understanding is that turning the key in the lock all the way should unlock the door, correct? Unfortunately in my case absolutely nothing happens. What kind of problem am I looking at here, mechanical or electrical? Previous owner warned me that I should change the battery every year to ...

Useless running boards
Hello all, The first thing that struck me after owning a car for a few days is how the running boards are completely useless. Alright, not completely useless, they get in the way when getting out, so at least you are aware of them. Obviously the aesthetic appeal is their only purpose (for those who ...

Re: Greetings from Kuwait!
It is 3.0i after all, not a V8. Her are the pics, I'll start with the questions in the appropriate forums once I dive into it.

I know the feeling...feels nice to fill up for £12. Too bad there is nowhere to go.

Re: Greetings from Kuwait!
You missed the best part, it was around 54 degrees a month back. Yes, smart thing to do would be to get a common US or Japanese car, but that would be an easy way out, wouldn't it? :) The prices of used European cars go sharply down because of high cost of parts and service, but I already dragged a ...

Greetings from Kuwait!
Hello all, I am about to pick up 2004 X5, which is either going to be the biggest mistake I'll make this year, or a good deal. Didn't plan to go for a BMW but this one popped up and we took a plunge. Engine diagnostics return 0 errors, and no traces or carbon in coolant, everything else I am willing ...
