Re: F15 Tyre Valves
The valves are the valves it's the length of the threaded part to the flange that is just too short for some forecourt air hoses, it was the same when they were on the 20". I wasn't making an issue and could have changed the wheels and then taken them in to get them under warranty but I need two ...

Re: Battery Problems
It's a common problem in RRS with lots of electrics when you lock and unlock the door lots of clever things happen on start up that require lots of electricity. Probably as much to do with your use and not getting the battery a charge. I know that if my wife's uses ours about town for a few days ...

Re: F15 Tyre Valves
The dealer called and said the valves were all damaged so I challenged them and got the service manager. The valves are all the new TPMS valves but there is only 4/5mm to put the garage air hose on. I have them on non BMW winter wheels so he suggested that the stem had been pushed into the sensor by ...

Re: F15 Tyre Valves
Thanks, they are the TPMS valves, it's just that there isn't enough valve protruding to get the local forecourt garages to connect. Last year I put air in at a BP on thhe M6 but I've tried 4 locally none fit.
My old fashioned foot pump fits but I too lazy for that.

New Style Tyre Valves
The valves on my car aren't long enough to get a forecourt garage air line on. The new valves are silver and have a squarish unit at the wheel then the actual valve. My valves dont look as long as the cars in the showroom. The dealer said that forecourt air hoses are rubbish and theirs fit but as I ...

Re: Service costs
Mine was part of the discount. I had the first service last year and have no idea what it would have been, the brakes are due in 3000 miles, I have done 30k since Sept 14 so if you do 8k over 3 then you might get 1 service and the brakes. I have a golf TDI and the service for that was £240 and I ...

Re: Winter Wheels
I spent ages looking at this. I have 20 on mine and BMW offered wheel and tyres at £2.5k. My local wheel place got 18 inch SUV wheel and winter tyres for £850. The are a bit lost in the rear arch but the tyres are quite chunky. Funnily the tpm seems to still work..? A source in BMW told me the w ...

Re: Defecting to the darker side
Oh dear. :)) :)) Once you have your lobotomy, shave your head (there's no headroom in an A7 or most Audis for that, so I presume that is why you are required to shave) and have adapted to wearing your wrap round Oakley's in the dark, you have to buy your clothing from golf punk. Forums to help you ...

Re: Any insurance experts? Update 02/12/15
Our 13 month old 3 series was stolen and written off last year. The person had stolen the keys from our house the first night of our holiday. We had just bought a new X5 and got valuations for the 3 and a 1 series to trade against it. Admiral were really easy to deal with whilst we were in America ...

Re: Wheel change
Thanks. The wheels are 18" 8" or 8.5", 45 offset with 255/55/R18 tyres, OEM TPMS and either bolts supplied or OEM bolts. The price with tyres ranges from £807 to £837 dependant on wheel. If its runflats the price is starts at just over £1100 to £1136. I didnt bother last year as itr was really mild a ...

Re: Wheel change
[quote="GD"] I had to change my rear tyres last week at 22k, my fronts are fine and am holding off for my replacement wheels. There was still 2mm on the rear and I had wanted to wait until next month when I was going to get winter wheels and tyres. I am a tight git and don't fancy giving BMW £2500 ...
