Anyone know where I could get replacement keys for BMW roof bars? There is a 3 digit code on the lock.

Roll the car forward gently and turn steering from lock to lock. It's not a fault as the steering/DSC system needs to reset itself following a battery change.

So start the car and drive it forward?

4x4 and DSC system failure error message after changing the battery
Just fitted a new battery - not coded and registered yet, but have now got the error 4x4 and DSC system failure. I think this can be triggered by a low battery, but that seems odd as it's brand new. Anyone seen this? How do I clear it??

[quote="Horizon"] [quote="stevo6"] How do I know if mine is an AGM battery or not? There's no indication on the battery... Part no is S61 21 7 551 331 and googling suggests it is, but not definitive. Re: Replacing the battery
[quote="Graeme"] I had the battery replaced a year ago. Cost from BMW main dealer of BMW battery was £148 fitted and coded with 2 year warranty which was £5 more than my independent mechanic could have got a Bosch equivalent for - then he'd have to fit and code it. It's worth getting a quote.. ...

Replacing the battery
Just wondering if there are any members on here that would be able to code/register a new battery for me? I am near Reading. I'm happy to agree a cost - even going to the local indy seems very expensive to me...

Fitting a BMW roof box to Thule (or other) roof rails
I have a BMW roof box and want to fit it to Thule or other roof rails. Problem is that the BMW box comes with T Track bolts that are 24mm wide whereas all non-BMW roof rails have tracks that use 20mm bolts ::) Has anyone found adapters that will allow a BMW roof box to be fitted to standard 20mm T ...

A couple of things (including failed air suspension) were fixed quickly under warranty soon after purchase. And today they have just: replaced front disks and pads after they became juddery in <6k ...
