Cheers guys.
I think i've decided. Once my current situation is sorted (hopefully returning my recently purchased M3), I will look for a 35d. I know that regardless of how the 30d will perform, I will not rest knowing there is a quicker model for similar money.
Thanks again !

Re: E53 X5 to F25 X3
Thanks for your help. Had a quick look around an X3 last night in my local. Impressed ! As I have read, size is not much smaller than the E53 X5, and much more updated. Love the interior as well. This was a 3.0 30d, and its literally a mile from my house. Unfortunately I am not quite in a position ...

Thanks for your replies.
I forgot to add, I would be looking for the 35d, as I do like a bit of punch

E53 X5 to F25 X3
My old car was an X5, and having gone to an M3 (I know, fancied a change), i'm missing the space and considering going back to a bigger car. Has anyone had an E53 X5 who have gone to an X3? I've looked at the stats and the X3 seems to tick all the boxes. A great all rounder it seems. How does it ...

2005 (lower tax) X5 3.0D Sport Auto
The time has come to move my X5 on. Its been a brilliant car, but doing about 5k miles pa, its just not really required anymore. It is running superbly and needs nothing. 10 months MOT, last serviced in December, complete with replacement brake pipes all round. Stunning condition as can be seen from ...

Re: Vredestein Ultrac Vorti Tyres on the front...
Cheers, I did that once, where you have them delivered and fitted at a local garage... the guy asked me why I had ordered online, and said I should have just come direct. My immediate thought was, why offer the service if you're going to whine about it ?! ha. The fact was that it worked out much ...

Re: Vredestein Ultra Vorti Tyres on the front...
Some good info, thanks. I think i'll give them a go, rather than the Accelera ones I bought last time. Whilst they're not bad they dont seem to have lasted long, and I don't feel too confident going in to a wet corner. Then again they can be had for £55 which is so cheap for the size. I think those ...

Front Wiper arm replacement
Hi guys, I've noticed my front driver's side wiper arm has some sort of clip which I think is supposed to hold the blade in position. Part of this clip appears to have snapped off and no longer holds the blade, causing the blade to lift from the screen whilst wiping. Could anyone please check and ...

Transmission Failsafe Program
Morning chaps, Driving a fairly hilly route the other day I noticed the auto gearbox on my X5 delayed in downshifting on the inclines a few times. Eventually on an incline I tried flooring the pedal to try and get it to shift down quicker, and I was immediately shown the messge in the title ... The ...
