We actually much preferred the Merc at first, and we thought it was better to look at and sit in to be honest. However as time has gone on, we have warmed more to the X5 now though, and the X5 is the much better car to drive in comparison for us.

It is great to be back in an X5 again, and I've recently acquired a 4 month old(on 2200 miles when I got it) G05 X5 40d. It has replaced a 2022 GLE400d, and I'm glad to be back on here, and I'm looking forward to getting to know the car better now as well. :)

Completely agree and I didn't think the 20d engine in my E61 520d Touring was up to the task of shifting its kerb weight very well, yet ...

Yes and I think he meant to type 272 instead of 172 as they are 272ps/268bhp, it's a lovely engine the N52/53.
