Rear wish bone bushes
I have an awful squeaking at the rear of the x5. If you just rock her side to side when parked you can hear it but it's worse driving low speeds over bumps, I think it's the rear wishbone bushes, but when I rang bmw parts they said the rear wishbone bushes are pressed into the wishbone and you have ...

Re: Water tank overflow
Thanks for the reply, I have checked oil and water as I thought it could be the head! But water is 100% free of oil and oil is pure oil, the cap rubber seal looks ok, the car temp gauge never goes higher than half gauge, I have a minor oil leak somewhere and I did over fill with oil once and I had a ...

Whilst cleaning my engine bay one day I noticed (because if it's nice bright pink colour) my water resivoiur seems to overflow a little? I don't seem to be losing ...

Re: Dortmund
Dortmund was well worth the trip, zf were fantasic. The gearbox is all done, I can't say I notice to much difference but I am no expert driver. They did tell me that the sealed for life element is a bmw quote and ZF themselves recommend a change between 80,000 and 100,000. So mine had a new filter ...

Re: Dortmund
The Dortmund Xmas market starts today and it's massive and pretty much an excuse for lots of beer, so there will be plenty to do, as for cost it's only 500 euros with a flush or 450 if they don't think it needs doing, but I am on 98,000 now and zf themselves say although it's stated as sealed for ...

The time is nearly here, I leave for Dortmund Thursday morning to head over and finally get my gearbox oil changed by zf, I cannot believe how many people question why I am going that far to get it done? Come on, it's a good road trip plus a weekend away on the beer?

Re: Front lights
Cheers guys, I get a warning about the rear lights, but I think that's because the previous owner had the led units fitted and I don't think they fitted a cap, I don't get any warning lights about the front, it's just the passenger side but know I know what I am looking at I will have dig in and see ...

Re: Rear view mirror glue?
I have been into autoglass and once I remove the old glue from the metal stud that sits on the screen they will glue it back on for me, then once it's gone off I can just twist it back on, so not too bad in the end.
