Oil level
Hi all
My idrive reports my oil level is high but the dipstick shows ok.
Do I just need to check the sensor in the pan?
Thanks

Re: Engine cutting out 3.0sd
Anyone know it it’s possible to remove injector 4 without removing manifold? It’s the only one that looks like it could be possible (maybe with a little trim of manifold). I remember doing something similar years ago in a 535d Thanks Its just as easy to remove the manifold, it doesn't take long, It ...

Re: Engine cutting out 3.0sd
I had the crack wire problem you talk about but i got 4 codes 1 for each injector and was hard to locate. My car would not start at all. When you restarted the car did it run smooth. Did you replace loom to fix? No i repaired the wire and then put plenty of tape round them all where i thought they ...

Re: Engine cutting out 3.0sd
If the wiring all looks ok and no sign of damp/water or gunk in the connections, plus a physical check further back along the loom also looks OK (no cracked wires etc) then the issue has to be at one end of the wire or the other. That I think means injector or whatever controls it. With any luck ...

Re: Engine cutting out 3.0sd
I’ve taken air ox off and there was no signs of water. Luckily I could get the connector off without removing manifold and it looked fine and tested ok for continuity.

Engine cutting out 3.0sd
Hi all Today after setting out (engine was warm) the engine cut out randomly. Trying to start it didn’t do anything, I had to remove key and then try again when it started. Managed to nurse it home as I was only up the road and checked fault codes when I got back. Only code was 4440 injector c ...

Re: Rear door water leak
I did check all the way around and the bottom was the only bit that wasn’t sealed. All clips had their seals on, I checked as I did have some spares.
I’ve decided the pull the door catch in 2mm, let’s see how that goes

Rear door water leak
Hi all Had replied on Leslie’s post but as my issue hasn’t been resolved I thought I’d start a new thread rather than high jacking his. On my rear passenger door I’m getting water inside, as I open the door a pool of water splashes out. I took the door card off and at the bottom there was 6 inches of ...

Re: Water leak past rear door X5 e70 plus seat dyed
I’ve not had non start issues, just time being lost. I have the launch x431 pro and ista+ for registering battery. I’d love a x5m and considered one before but my sd is old now and ragged around a bit to be fair while doing the house up, but I’ve ive just purchased a van it will just be for commu ...

Re: Water leak past rear door X5 e70 plus seat dyed
Oh gosh, unlucky about the indicator. I felt my inner rear lights didn’t sit right either and they are genuine bmw ones, got them to look the best I could. I’ve put the butyl in and put the car back together, let’s hope no more water leaking in. Also my new agm battery turned up today, so that got fi ...
