Shuttering, Smoking and low low power
Hi Leslie,
the internal obstruction of the egr is bad enough on its own.... let alone when the crud builds up on it.

Shuttering, Smoking and low low power
just thinking aloud here.... re Diesel 3.0 D-Sport ... is it also possible that you may be getting low power due the the EGR unit is coked up & blocking air intake to the intake manifold.... I had this exact problem, the EGR unit is a nasty obstruction in the intake tube at best, let alone when it ...

Handbrake question
I have also replaced the rear drum shoes, adjusted them up in the drums, THEN at the handbrake itself... never had any luck with it... absolutely sodding useless & never used it since. Landrover Discovery 1 has an upgrade whereby you fit a DISK BRAKE at the end of the gearbox on the prop flange ...

Managed to get the Right side to 0.00.. I bought a replacement track arm for the LHS , & the original part was ...

Rear Wheel - Toe In
Rear Wheel - Toe In I just noticed the rear tyres on my X5 are scrubbed beyond legal on the inside edges of both rear tyres. Had the vehicle up in the air for 4 wheel alignment check today. The REAR Camber was -1.5 degrees & the ideal setting, but BOTH rear wheels were toe'ing OUT by about -1.3 ...

These Hedge-Hog units are a sodding nuisance. I have a NEW issue resolution to throw into the mix......... A month ago I was also having fan issues, & swapped out 3 regulator hedgehogs to no avail, & getting intermittent fan operation now & then. I found the remedy quite by mistake.... when groping ...

Air suspension issue. Help please.
i learned of a handy little trick.... Solved with some silicone spray in a can.. Under the spare wheel lives the compressor & valve block... .. disconnect the battery & cover the terminals with a rag or wooden board to prevent any short circuits ...open up the circular case that contains the valve ...
