Hi everyone and a Happy 2018.
I'm being lazy as I haven't much time on here at the moment. Does anyone know for a website or link where it shows the suitability for fitting BMW wheels to other BM's or even VW vans etc.
I have a set of Style99 wheels part number 6 757 355 for sale and want to ...

Vredesteins are great winter tyres -used them on our elderly 4.8is for many years now. But not as a staggered setup - the BMW recommended size is 17” for the 3.0d and 18” for the bigger brake calipers of the 4.8.
Recommended 18” size is 255/55R18 all round. Best to have a separate ...

Re: Why winter tyres here
Although mine went last week, my E53 always had a different tyre on for the winter months. I agree that they aren't 'snow tyres' but in recent weeks we have had a bit of the white stuff and sub minus 10 temps. The tyres helped us get about, not loose time in work and we were able to shop for ...

Smee, I did respond to your PM but none of my messages are showing in my sent box. Did you receive it?

I agree with the chancers and time wasters. comment!! Always nervous about that and having an accident is worse nightmare. I didn't put too much detail in as I didn't want it to look like an advert ;)

Le Mans Sport edition - accept p/x or sell?
Time has come to reduce the fleet and we are putting in our E53 Le Mans for a F25 X3. Our dealer said we should give it a go privately.
Its got 127500 ,miles, cream leather, TV, BM servicing (it was an AUC 3 years ago), Westphalia detachable bar, winter wheels & tyres etc. etc....
Should I advertise ...

X5 E53 Winter wheels and Uniroyal M&S tyres for sale very soon
Hi folks,
we took the plunge yesterday and we are changing our E53 Le Mans for a new X3. As happy as I am, saying goodbye to 'Lemmy' will be hard.
It is currently on 18" Winter Wheels and tyres (tyres only on for about 3k miles). We will be putting the 20's back on for the p/ex.
Pictures to follow ...

Re: X5 to X3
I've just taken the plunge too. Our E53 X5 (Le Mans edition) has been awesome for 3/12 years and is still going strong. Chatted with the dealer about my 4 series and next week picking up a demo F25 X Line with £8k of extras on it.............. for £28k!!!!
We had a good look at the F25 and although ...

Re: Talk me out of an E39, mates?
We had a stunning 525d Touring (2003) and toured France and Italy regularly. Its last couple of services were expensive incl. the cat,but didn't care as it was a dream. My only niggle was the rear door card which let water in and soaked the rear footwell. An easy fix I am told. we had the same ...

Re: Anybody changed Brakes (pads and discs) recently?
Just changed my pads over to Brembo via Eurocarparts. Discs are fine (OEMs 2 yr. old) and the pads with the online discount code, F&R, came to £67. I know price shouldn't be an issue for braking but I thought Brembo would be a good safe bet. So far, so good.

Re: 3.0d pulling slightly to left
Hi Chelsea,
what size wheel are you running on? We have 20's for the summer and 18's for the winter. As you can guess there is a difference in the characteristic of each size.
On some of our roads the 20's have a mind of their own and follow the trenches left by Scanias. We too have ours pulling to ...
