Thanks for the link, It looks like you have opt for HUD to get the extended display. I did note that this link is quite old, I was hoping the display would be upgraded with post April changes, I wish BMW would get back to my dealer with an answer.

I have ordered a 3.0d msport :), the X5 I took out on a test drive had a small lcd display in the middle of the speedo and rev counter. I have noticed other X5's have a large rectangular screen incorporating both the speedo and rev counter.

Can any one tell me how you get this? My dealer ...
