But will that still allow the airbags to go off in a collision or will it just stop the airbag light being on? :-\

Passenger seat airbag mat help.
Hi I have a 2002 x5 which is due for its MOT next week. My airbag lights keeps coming on intermittently, it seems to be the passenger seat mat causing it as before it would only come on when there was somebody in that seat, now its just intermittent regardless. Is it worth trying to replace the seat ...
