Argh, this has just started happening on my x5 e70 4.0d. I'm trying to fix the issue so I don't give me neighbours a night of pain. Does anybody know where it is located? Can it just be unplugged to stop it from triggering the alarm?
Many many thanks in advance!

Retro fit Power Boot Lid
Has anybody actually done this? If so, how was it done? What's needed?
If I was to purchase parts from say a breakers is it easy to fit (new hinges, control module etc) and then code up?
I've seen there was an old post on this but it didn't get many replies.
Cheers

4.0d booked in with Jason @ BWChiptune on Saturday!
... for a full remap... looking to get both extra BHP and MPG. Currently getting 27.7 mpg which is a fairly good indication I feel since I do a good combination of driving, and this also includes 2 x 210 mile trips between London to York. After a few weeks driving I'll post the report on this thread ...

Re: Keyless driving???
I used to have a Citroen ZX volcane that did this! Start it up, drive, take key out and engine would still run and run. You used to have to put the key back in to stop it.

Re: Afternoon everyone
It's got the pan roof and heated steering wheel. Hasn't got 7 seats mind!
The wheels are a grower I think. They look better in the flesh.

Re: Afternoon everyone
Yea they are 22" Revere wheels. I've still got the factory wheels, which are now gloss black and for winter use. I've had the tints done, although it did have the rears factory - I just wanted them a little darker!

4.0d remap - the options
After reading a few reviews and looking at a few sites it seems there's various remaps available. I understand BW chiptune get quite a lot of endorsement, how do they compare against other remaps? I'm also after getting additional mpg as well as a little extra hp... Any suggestions or experience ...

Afternoon everyone
New X5 owner here, just thought I'd say hi!
I've just bought an 11 plate 4.0d x5. Seems to have almost everything spec wise but already planning a few subtle modifications (remap, smoked rear lenses etc). Will try to post some pics!
Will try contribute on here as much as I can.
