Re: M Sport Brake Calipers
Having had a nosey around realoem and the web, I’ve not got a definitive answer, but it looks like the fronts might be a straight swap, but not the rears due to the X3’s electronic handbrake. Pity, as an X3 with some braking and suspension tweaks would have made an interesting alternative to my 335 ...

M Sport Brake Calipers
Does anyone know if the Brembo M Sport calipers from the other BMW ranges will fit the X3 ? Haven't had a good search of the internet as yet, but I'm assuming the standard sliding piston calipers and discs will probably be shared with other ranges (3 series most likely), and if so then the Brembo's ...

Re: New 2018 X3... Whatcha think?
I like it, and will definitely consider it this time next year, although probably only if they expand the engine option and offer a 35d/40d >:D I'd stick with the standard black leather as well :P When I'm in the mood for a relaxed drive I like our E70 X5 and peering over most of the traffic, but ...

Re: Metallic Interior Trim Panels
Pulled it off? They are bolted on. (Door trims are) Which part do you mean exactly? I have replaced the aluminium trim on my drivers door and didn't have to buy a full kit.
The silver plastic trim panel as a whole is bolted onto the doorcard as you say - the aluminium trim ...

Re: Metallic Interior Trim Panels

Ebay ?.
What look for the metal trim on Ebay or put his wife on Ebay for standing on it :) :)
Good advice ;) Have only seen them advertised in full sets before, but BMW Direct had them singly. Only problem is they had other stuff for sale, so ...

Metallic Interior Trim Panels
Does anyone know if the metallic interior trim panels are available individually, rather than buying a full kit ?
The wife has managed to pull the nsr trim off, then stood on it

Re: X5 e70 Towing
I've been towing with my 40d for the last 18 months, fitted with a Westfalia towbar from PF Jones, but no fan upgrade. I've not had any bother with it, and it's been all over the UK and across to Spa in Belgium. I'm not sure about those who've experienced the fan turning off - from memory mine stays ...

Re: Best tyre pressure
2.2 bar / 32 psi all round for the 20" wheels in lightly loaded condition
35 psi front and 40 psi rear for heavily loaded / towing IIRC
BMW's table format isn't the easiest to understand I must admit, due to there being that many different combinations I suppose :-[

Re: New Brake pads
What's wrong with the OEM pads exactly? It never ceases to amaze me the amount of people using OTT brake pads for driving around town and the m'way.
There's always room for improvement ;) Have had my 40d for 2 months and done 4k miles, and from an indicated 15k miles left ...
