I can get 2 x iPhone 4s to pair with a 2005 X5 when following the instructions, but they subsequently lose it. Do you think this is likely to need a replacement Bluetooth unit in the boot?
Has anyone got a part number for a later version of the BT unit that would fit as a direct replacement?

Re: X5 4.4 or 4.6 tyres that will cope with campsites in winter
My experience is that the narrower the tyre, the better it is in muddy conditions.
In addition to owning quite a few 4x4's over the years I have just completed a 2 week off road driving course in military Land Rovers. Some of the conditions on the driving course were horrendous but the skinny tyres ...

I know what you mean about the wood!
I very briefly owned one that had pretend aluminium trim which I really liked, but it was a bit scratched on the door trims. I ended up having to swap the car, and went for one with wood trim. Surprisingly I've grown to love it!!

Re: Looking for an x5 3.0d
I think it looks good, and worth looking at.
It doesn't have tail pipes because it's a Diesel. Only the petrol ones came with tail pipes, but I believe people have retro-fitted them to diesels.
The spec is good with sat-nav, heated seats etc. It would be worth checking the Bluetooth connectivity ...

Re: Drivers Footwell Flooded!!
I've not experience this on my X5 but have had a similar problem with a previous car. It was caused by the drain tubes from the sunroof surround being blocked, which caused rain water to run down inside the interior trim rather than out through the bottom of the car. Mine was nowhere near as bad as ...

Re: Auto 'coasting'
In standard driving lessons and in advanced driver training it is always advised against doing this, as you are less in control of the vehicle whilst in neutral.
Why would you want to do it?

Re: Headlamp washers
I don't think you will need to go through the Main-Stealer for these bits. Any good motor-factor will sell different diameter pipes by the meter, along with various different joints/T-pieces/elbows etc.

Re: I want to buy some 17 inch Wheels and would like some help please!
I'm not sure I can offer any expert advice, but I think your car will look really wrong with 17 inch wheels.
Is it possible that your car is uncomfortable because there is something wrong somewhere?
Even with 19 inch wheels and Sports suspension I would have to describe mine as very comfortable.
