Re: Gerabox Oil Change
5 seat pack available from 2010 iirc- this car had it. Receiving p/ex crappy bids for mine though, now I know that main dealers won't put a car on the forecourt over 80k (straight to auction and offer auction price) I shan't bother with main dealer servicing!

Re: Gerabox Oil Change
I'm at c350 with the SD thanks to simon at emaps, hoping the 8 speed will help things a little, but ultimately I can live with it, it does everything so well. Seriously considering an X6 next time though.

Re: Gerabox Oil Change
Sorry, read the wrong profile the left. One of my best mates lives in Holywell! My SD averages 28-30, depending on how I drive it. I can get just over 40 if I sit in the inside lane with the wagons with the cruise set to 56. Around town 23-24. We have a 635d 'vert (same engine as the SD)- that's ...

Re: Gerabox Oil Change
Thanks for that, I'll check them out. I saw that you were in Bury, I work in Bolton so thought they may have been local. That said, we pass deeside regularly going down to Anglesey so I'll have a chat with them and get mine booked in. I have an E70 SD now and love it- and a 635D that I'm about to ...

Plug one of these in and you'll have streaming over Bluetooth and track control from the steering wheel. No album art though. Re: Gerabox Oil Change
Would you mind me asking who changed it for you? I'm on a similar mileage, tow quite a lot, and would like it done if only for peace of mind. My E53 got me to 192k without too many issues- although I have the gearbox oil and filter done at about 100k. Thanks Simon [quote="Horizon"] [quote="Dannyh172 ...

Re: iPhone 6 compatability with iDrive
Yep, its the lightning connector on the new phone, bought a lead off amazon (£7) rather than from BMW (£50+) as from what I can gather it's essentially the same.
I suspect the lightning connector on the iphone 6 doesn't carry audio.

iPhone 6 compatability with iDrive
Hi, just bought my 2nd X5, a 2008 sd.
I have a Y cable, which was with the car, works fine and gives control of iPod through the iDrive.
However, I've bought another Y Cable as I have an iPhone 6. No such luck with this phone, iDrive ignores it.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Simon

Re: Moving from E53 to E70
I've just traded my 2005 3.0d Sport in... at just short of 180k miles, thought it was time for a change. I didn't get much for it, but then again it owed me nothing. I now have a 2008 3.0sd. Love it. It's on 20s, I'm surprised how compliant the ride is. If I could just get my iPhone 6 to work with ...
