Sat nav upgrade
I bought a BMW 2016 sat nav upgrade from my local dealer for £110. It consisted of a USB stick and a code and took about an hour to install. My car maps haven't been upgraded since new in 2011. I was pleasantly surprised at this price.

Anyone added a 5th seat
My family situation has changed and now a 5th seat would come in handy. I note there are several places abroad that will do a seat conversion kit, but these all come with a lap seatbelt. I believe the lap seat belts will be an MOT failure here on the Uk. I contacted Revere in London and they will do ...

Re: 2nd key no longer saves seat position
Played around with the keys and the memory setting to no avail. Could the Carly software have done this. What I don't want to do is pay BMW to fix it and I then loose the ability for the mirrors to fold in when locking, reinstall the Carly software so they do and find out it has messed the second ...

2nd key no longer saves seat position
I am 5'11" and my wife 5'2" so we have very different seat positions. The seat used to adjust to our keys when we unlock the car. This now only happens on my key fob. I'm not sure if it is connected but this does seem to coincide with when I used iCarly to get the mirrors to fold in on locking. I ...

Re: Folding mirrors
Mirrors now fold on locking/unlocking. Thanks to all the members for their knowledge sharing, especially Splang. Used the iCarly app. What a clever and useful app.

Re: Folding mirrors
Thanks for the info on code x5 which I have just searched for. Wow this Carly app thing seems amazing. What is the wifi adapter and how does it all work in very simple terms, bearing in mind I am the saddo who pays Halfords to switch wipers. I live in Farnborough, Hampshire so unfortunately Leeds is ...

Folding mirrors
Is it possible to have the car electronics changed so the mirrors fold automatically when you lock the car?

Re: Car sickness
I have now changed wheels from 20 inch to 19 inch and fitted non run flat tyres and it has now transformed the ride. It has been given the royal seal of approval by her indoors so fortunately the car can stay. It has come at a heavy price but at least it is now a pleasant ride for her and me. The ...

Re: Car sickness
If I can find some 19 wheels on eBay etc what are the actual dimensions of the front and rear wheels I should look for. What tyres sizes as well.
Many thanks
Richard

Car sickness
I have had my X6 40d auto since March 14. Unfortunately on the handful of journeys my wife has been in the car it is making her car sick. She is 37 and never experienced this before in another car. She says the passenger seat is uncomfortable and she is bounced around and the ride is too hard. It is ...
