I looked at the RRS and looking at the diesel equivalent of the 30d the RRS came out about £3500 more than the F15 i specced. This was with a similar spec on both cars, the waters are muddied slightly by the fact that different things come as standard on each make.

Those temps look OK and it is cold out there anyway. Diesels run cooler than petrol.

Not had a look under there yet but i assume the X5 has some sort of central support bearing that could also be the issue.
