Mine is exactly the same and it is a Diesel engine so going to do this. If I take the car on a spirited drive the smok goes for a bit but a week later if not driven hard then it does same thing, I am used to it now and had several things checked out. I do however know that one of my glow plugs needs ...

Mine is on 120k now and when they changed it they said it was black and crusty!

Service and gearbox service
Just had inspection 2 done on the motor and also got gearbox oil and filter changed.
What a difference! So much smoother in gears now and no more lurching!!
Also got front pads changed as they where pretty low
Need to get some pics up of the motor really as well

I have this lurch type symptom as well, it bugs me as it can be quite brutal coming to a halt and also whilst travelling down hill if I brake then the gear change is pretty intense lol

I recently go the trans failsafe warning after the battery died on me, once jump started I drove home to give it charge and it only drives in 3rd or 4th gear I believe, once it had enough time to charge I switched off and then on again and the error message went and all has been good.

After doing a 1.4.0.9;4.1.1 scan this error code was evident
Now the running of the car seems OK but want sort of symptons would I have if something was wrong? is it worth changing the plug or all plugs?

I am a bit of a bufty and always polish the new wheels first, then seal twice with poorboys wheel sealant and then put a wax on top of that.

Check the power streeing fluid as mine was manky and making a noise lock to lock. I got a massive syringe from ebay and removed it all, topped it up and removed it all again after doing lock to lock, repeated this for a whole bottle and then topped up and all was good.
