Mine was pretty identical,chaffed wires through the chassis,never rule out the simple things just a matter of finding them.

Hi there, i had this prob on mine and it turned out to be a sticking caliper n/s as it happens,quite a simple fix
A seal kit off fleabay for £20 odd quid and about 2hrs labour (when it was freezing cold weather),B.O.L. fella.
