I think the DPF is just hated purely because of the horror stories about replacement costs people hear when it goes wrong! My previous Leon FR TDI had a replacement fitted at a cost of £2100!!

2004 3.0D Sport - smoke on cold start

I have noticed that on cold starts (usually 1st thing in the morning) there is a bit of blue smoke from the exhaust. This does clear up after a couple of seconds and won't happen again unless the car is not driven for a few hours. I have had it plugged in and this has been diagnosed as all 6 glow ...
