Re: X5 3.0d 05....Insurance recommendations anyone?
Just insurered ours under £300 for year for me and Mrs, only 33 yrs old and work in motor trade? Not bad for that, but correct about high insurance costs.. Cheaper to insure audi rs4 than x5 ?? Can't figure why

Do you have any pictures, and where did you get them fitted? Is there anyone in County Durham who supply wheels & tyres at good price?

Re: Running boards
There's no rust on them, they are just a bit weathered and pitted, they have been exposed to the weather for over 7 years?

Running boards
I am wanting to clean up my running boards, what would be better. Polish up with machine polisher and then lacquer to protect or fine wire wool then waxed?
Also, does anybody know if the rubber bungs are available from dealers as I have a few missing? If so how much???

Re: Correct Way to Start the Engine
I would always let the Ecu do it's thing before starting the car, the plugs do take a second or two too get the engine temp up..
I think it would also reduce any premature wear on the engine/ignition and take the extra strain off the battery
