DPF Regeneration Too Regular
Afternoon All, Maybe a bit of a strange one this as I know DPF issues are usually associated with it not regenerating and as a result it becomes blocked. Searched all over the internet but I couldn't find much apart from one other case. I've noticed over the past few months that the DPF is ...

Re: Winter door handle problem - again!
I've had this problem before and have even resorted going through the boot when I have needed to get somewhere on time :)) Usually it is just the lock mechanism that is frozen, give it 20 mins of the car running and it should defrost. I need to take the door card off and spray the mechanism with a ...

Re: 2010 30d M Sport - Carbon Black Diary
Does look so much better, I like that - did you have to cut the surround away from the round tail pipes or does it unclip? Was number removal required?? Si
The black plastic surrounds just pop off (small plastic clips hold them on)... I think I sold these for £30 for the pair! ...

Re: 2010 30d M Sport - Carbon Black Diary
I went for the genuine BMW LCI tailpipes, some may think I'm mad at £310 from the dealer but I wanted a good fit and didn't want to get into welding etc. Takes less than an hour... just grind the old ones off towards the back box, slide these over and clamp them up. Look a lot better too. http://www. ...

Re: Charging faulty message and layer generator code
Thanks for all your help Alan, much appreciated  I've just ordered the refurbished unit so fingers crossed will fix the issue.... I will fit it when it comes tomorrow and update. Might make a DIY for removal/replacement of the alt as I didn't need to remove half of the things the online ...

Thanks Alan. Re: Charging faulty message and layer generator code
Thanks very much both, the charging fault message kept appearing on the way to work this morning and showed less than 12V all the way. I assume replacement alt would be the first port of call? Or do I take a chance on changing the voltage regulator (£50)? New battery last year and I'm sure that gave ...

Charging faulty message and layer generator code
Hi All, I’m asking for some advice before I’ve properly looked into it, but just wondering if any had heard of it before. Tonight the charging faulty message came up with the red battery symbol between the clocks. The Carly code is 004A17 layer generator. It keeps coming on and off, when on the bat ...

Re: hi guys
Hi and welcome! These were a factory fit option, BMW style 491M 20" wheels and they all came in black. Maybe not to everyones taste but certainly a sought after style of wheel as (please someone correct me if I'm wrong) they don't fit them anymore to the new F15's. Good luck with the purchase!

Any ideas on Rail Pressure Sensor code and stalling symptoms?
Hi All, Sorry to post with another problem on here... My X5 (3ltr M57) seems to be trying to stall (revs hunting) intermittently when stopped at traffic lights. Carly says 003F40 Rail pressure sensor offset-test. Tried to google it without much luck.... checked the fuel rail pressure sensor plug and ...

Re: Photobucket no longer allowing sharing images to internet forums
Morning, I think photobucket have stopped 3rd party hosting for all free accounts... a ransom of $400/year is required to allow images to appear on 3rd party sites, so basically the free account just becomes a photo storage account. Photobucket says ad based revenue isn't enough now? I've ...
