hi there alas cant help with the errors you get on suspeniosn etc , but from experience of removing replacing my battery quite a few times this month the only thing I lost was the unlocked obc settings....ie they get locked again and you have to unlock if you want....the radio settings retained, but ...

jeez took a decent sound recording/video of my startup to my mechanic and he thinks its the battery (but fails to appreciate that it maybe the starter amp draw 'sucking too many amps' at each start, draining the battery)

Sleepyfolk thanks, attached are images of the siginificant clamp meter readings as I had it wrapped around one of the battery cables when starting (and readings taken we are talking in the space of 3-4seconds) is this a good enough way to get current draw or would the starter have to be removed to ...

thanks Rob 250-300 amps eh? well IF used the amp clamp correctly my starter draws more than 400amps each start (stupid of me not to set it too the 1000a before tesing) , I am getting funny looks at the garages i go to when i mention i may have a starter problem, please check my amp draw!
