Re: Wanted: E53 X5
[quote="tsinc"] Everyone's different then I suppose but I'm not willing to take a 400 mile round trip to buy a £5k car as previous experiences have mainly led to travelling for a "pristine" car for it to end up looking battered in real life. If it was a higher end car with less of them available ...

Re: Wanted: E53 X5
200 miles is nothing for the right car. I bought my last X5 near Aberdeen and I live in Kent. Flew up and drove back. That's a hell of a first drive and by the end of it I certainly knew many of the cars foibles.

Re: 4.6is Correct engine oil?
5w 30 fully synthetic and LL04 is BMW nomenclature for the minimum spec of the oil. As for brands, Castrol Edge was always recommended by BMW up till they did a deal with Mobil, a couple of years ago. Now Edge is crap and Mobil 1 is the best thing since sliced bread. Any known quality oil is fine. I ...

So, what exactly are "age related dents" as this has 4 of them.
Do they appear, automatically, after year 4, 6 and 8 or is there some other mystical way that a dent can be age related.
Every factory optional extra but no mention of heated wheel, rear electric seats or FBH.

Re: Used classified prices on diesel models significantly dropping
Previous governments eulogised about diesel and everyone jumped on the bandwagon. Now governments are demonising diesel and the effect is a significant slowing of sales which will only get worse as time moves on. Glad I got out a couple of years ago when diesel pricing was still firm. Mind you, a 4 ...

You could have a go at cleaning it but why not just use the button on the dash or the key fob.

Re: First MOT
I once took a P38 for MOT at a council station and they didn't test the brakes. When I queried it, the tester said, if you got here without crashing into the rear of someone, with a heavy car like that, your brakes are fine.
He had a point.

Re: talk to me about intravee guys
If the INTRAVEE you get has the latest firmware, wake up mod, then it's fine to leave it in the boot and not worry about start up.
