Im still struggling with this issue, at a total loss now

Cant even seem to find out how to check my firmware version?

Has anyone found a solution?

I had a thought of swapping the sat nav unit thats in the boot with my other x5's which is currenty working? is this recommend...or could i ...

I've also tried leaving the original maps DVD in for the past few days but that hasn't done anything.

How can I get hold of a copy of the old software? And is this easy to load?

I got round to disconnecting the battery... Left it for a good 30mins

Connected everything back up but it's still the same menu!! 

To make matters worse the 4x4 light is now lit up on the dash when the car is started?

Any other ideas?

I seem to be having the same issue on my wife's x5...

I have two exactly the same spec and year, facelift e53.

I updated the software and maps on one and it has worked perfectly, however on the other I now have this new menu as the first post above??!!

Did anyone find a solution? I'm not ...
