Re: Sonos
I have the Sonos system too. I wanted multi room hifi when we moved house and this was the best solution. I love it. The napster subscription is worth the money, I use shazam on the Iphone to identify songs on the radio or on adverts then I can find them on napster. Now looking into the new smaller ...

Re: Playing music through using the USB connection
I've just bought an LCI X6 and had the same problem, solved by using the USB to charge the phone and bluetooth for music.
I also have a small older Ipod that works fine with the lead so have left that in the car.

Re: 20" Summer and Winter tyres and wheels questions.
Winter tyres work better for two reasons. They have a tread pattern designed to shed snow quickly and they have a tread compound that stays flexible at low temperatures. Running summer tyres will be fine up to a point, even the 20" wheels will work in some snow. Where winters really make a huge ...

Re: X6 40d what are the best options?
Right, back on track! I got the first car on friday. Turns out the car was a late 2011 LCI in white with black wheels, as described in the first place. Another £500 off the dealer for the hassle and we're all happy! Fitted the winter tyres today on the wheels from the man with the bad curtains. ...

Hang on a sec, you have a boxer in your profile. As a petrol head I understand that it's one of the best handling cars out there, but to the rest of the world you look like a successful hairdresser. Or a man deep into a midlife crisis.
Mine is just a bit of fun rather than a lifestyle choice.

I do also have an MGF in the garage though...
Nuff said!! Is it in the garage with head gasket failure!? Re: X6 40d what are the best options?
Oh and some of advice. Don't get the burgundy ones, they look gay!
I like em! Of course pretty much all the cars are black or grey. I've narrowed it down to burgundy, black or white. Mainly because I've had so many black or grey cars that I would like a colour. I do also ...

Re: X6 40d what are the best options?
Yeah, I'm getting the impression that more is more when it comes to options at re-sale. I may have found another car on the approved used list.
Just need to wait till I get home, see what spectacular offer is available on the one in Aberdeen and discuss cash with the nice people in Bolton!

Re: X6 40d what are the best options?
Am I right in thinking that the HUD won't work with polarising sunglasses? I currently have (due to getting migraines in bright light and forgetting the bloody things) 3 pairs of polarised ray-bans! There are not many well optioned cars near me judging by the approved used cars. There are quite a ...

X6 40d what are the best options?
So the late 2011 X6 40d that I put a deposit on before going offshore has turned out to be a late 2010 car. This isn't particularly a problem but I was paying a decent price for the 2011 that would be a pretty high price for a 2010. I'm going to the dealer on tuesday (when i get off the rig) to see ...

The Q7 was fine in snow up to about a foot deep (worst I found) with the smaller winter tyres fitted, not much use with the 20" summer wheels though! Re: X6 40d
I live near Aberdeen and we do get proper winters. I'm also out quite a bit with the dog and a camera so tend to end up going daft places. I think a set of snow tyres may well be on the cards! I had intended to keep the Q7 until march as I have a spare set of wheels with winter tyres fitted, but of ...
