Re: Not able to read fault codes
I did that thing to connect 7 and 8 on the bmw scanner, didn't help, yes it is connected to my VM.
Then I also have the other cable with INPA that runs on my Windows 7 64 bits and also that one doesn't find my car.

Re: Not able to read fault codes
Doesn't do anything, I'm not able to read with bmw scanner or INPA.
I'll take the battery off tomorrow.
I've been checking my K-line on the OBD2 with the multimeter but I am not sure if it is correct or not.
There is a bit over 12V on pin 16 (battery), and there is a little under 12V on pin 8 (k ...

Not able to read fault codes
Hello,
I have the "level suspension inactive" message in my instrument cluster.
So I went to look for a reader to find out more about this problem.
I started with the well known BMW scanner thing from China: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/221402098403

Re: Antenna
If that was the Bluetooth antenna, it's supposed to be on top on those 2 screws sticking out.
Also the Bluetooth antenna uses very thin RG-174 coax cable with a FAKRA plug.

Doesn't look like anything that I have in my car.
Do you have any phone option installed at the moment?
I used the instructions on bimmernav.

Think I bought a broken radio because it just rarely powers on. ::)
Checked the fuse and that looks fine.

bm24 to bm54 question
Hi,
I am going from bm24 to bm54 to make my MKIV and 16:9 setup complete.
Today the last piece of the puzzle, the adapter harness arrived.
When I connected everything and powered on the car, there was no sound.
Also all radio info is totally missing. I cannot select any source like CD, Tape or AUX ...

Re: Trunk lid right side not locking
I ended up replacing the mechanism first with a used one that closed easier, but still didn't close when shutting the tailgate. So I put some washers behind it and now it's closing as it should.
Although I could probably have adjusted the number 9 part, this would only be a temporary solution ...

Re: Fitting Gen 13 ULF
I've gotten the whole thing to work, with my BB Q10.
My ULF module is the oldest first generation, 84 21 6 934 552, but everything seems to work initially.
Took IBus from the CD player (for now).
Paired, transferred numbers and made a call.
Don't seem to need the SES plug, however sound quality is ...

Re: Trunk lid right side not locking
Thank you Richard, it's indeed about the lower section.
I have tried lubrication, if I press it really hard manually using a screwdriver it will click/lock (with the tailgate open), but not by the normal way of closing the tailgate. It will open just fine when I press the button so I think the cable ...

Trunk lid right side not locking
I noticed while closing the lid, only the left side really locks.
When you pull on the right side of the lid it will open up a little bit, from the inside you can see through a hole that the mechanism is not fully locked and still moving when you pull.
The part seems to be nr 4 below, 51 24 8 408 ...

Re: What is the best battery to buy
If you really want to know if your battery is broken... measure the Voltage level...
I replaced mine a month ago with the Bosch S5 019 100Ah.
You can see the Voltage through the instrument cluster (search Youtube for a video).
Or connect a multimeter to the battery.
The battery is under the spare ...
