make sure that the battery is fully charged-if not it wont work - i think from memory there needs to be above a certain level of fuel in the tank and the battery needs to be above a certain percentage of charge in order for the aux heater to work- i would check both these first before looking ...

more than likely battery problem-the ecu detects the level of charge in the battery and if it drops below a certain level then the aux heater wont run-i have two battery,s -both ok(tested) but i only do short runs and they last about 3-4 weeks before the aux heater stops working ( i have it ...

sounds like you need to change the fuel filter!!-mine did exactly the same and when i changed the fuel filter (pig of a job)it cured it-turns out the fuel filter had never been changed!! even with full BM S/H if you do yours cut the the old fuel filter up and check out how much crap is in it!!

I have a connect2-instead of the cd changer and I leave my I pod connected permanently without any issues, so yes mine charges the I pod!

I have a connect2 in my car-with this you remove the 6 cd changer and is replaced with a small unit which plugs into the original cd plugs , you then run a lead to your I phone etc which could be in the glove box( mine is in the front ash tray) and then you control your I phone or whatever plugs ...

if you still have your old filter-hacksaw the end of it and see what the filter element inside looks like-bet you screw your face up when you see it!!

try reverting back to normal bulbs-this should prove if the hid,s are causing your issue,s!

Mine was the same-page 8 of the service book states fuel filter change every 3rd oil change-at extra cost!!
