I dont know why the screen was changed. I just assumed it was damaged. Not done by BMW. So are you saying one of the components I have is not from a UK car? The screen or the box (excuse my terminology)
Everything except nav appears to work fine.

I know the screen has been changed, but I don't know about the main "box"
Using my VIN on here it returns the right car:

Re: Random Self Level Susp Inactive message
I used to randomly suffer from this. Turned out my car had a xenon light kit fitted (i never knew). A bulb went and I discovered them so pulled it all out and fitted normal bulbs. Suspension warnings gone and lights are fine.

Dashboard buttons
Hi, some but not all of our dash buttons are not 100% secured. The plastic that clips them in is obviously worn and some times they will fall out. Heater + / -, fan speed etc. Is there a 3rd party supplier of these that anybody knows about? I'd imagine BMW wanting a mint for replacements. Many ...

Re: Left side speakers not working
Beautiful. Thank you all. Exactly what I needed to read. I'll get it out and sent off. ..... While i'm here, does anybody know where to source the rear door speaker grilles? I've just got an x3 so the x5 will be for sale so i'm just tidying up the little issues she has before sale. Many Thanks Dan

Left side speakers not working
Hi. More often than not the entire left side speakers will not work on our x5. (56 plate 3.0d). Sometimes they are working so i'm confident the speakers physically work.
Any pointers on where to start, is this a common issue etc.
Many Thanks
Dan

Nav function not available / CIC not coded
Hi. I picked up a 2011 x3 at the weekend. Unfortunately it has an issue with the sat nav. See photos, when the nav button is pressed I get the function not available message and also navigation is greyed out within the menus. I'm annoyed I didn't notice before I left the garage. Issue being i'm ...

Re: Standard options
Decided I *need* a 2014 facelift one now. That helps with the options as more appear to be standard. Budget needs a slight increase though

Re: Standard options
Cheers.
It really is a minefield buying one. The amount of options. I end up finding the perfect car with everything and then it seemingly has a "standard" option missing (heated seats for example)
1st world problems, I know.

Re: Standard options
Damn, no worries. I guess lots of dealers will be getting a phone call tomorrow with "has it got x,y,z" etc
Thank you.
Thank you.

Standard options
Hi, i'm currently driving an e53 x5 and i'm looking to replace it with an x3 very soon. Decided today, hopefully buying within the week (before i change my mind) Budget is £20k. It's looking like i'll get a 2.0 SE, 2013, < 30k miles for my money. My question is what's the exact standard spec list? ...

Re: Sat Nav not working
Yeah i'm happy. I have a new battery as I had (have) the self levelling suspension inactive message. It's 100% related to turning the lights on just after starting the car. No idea how to resolve it. I think the sat nav went bell up after I fitted my tow bar electrics. I suspect after connecting the ...
