Thanks Richard
I have just emailed BMW UK asking the question as I would rather the answer be a written reply.

Re: E70 Recall ???
I just called Rybrook Warwick reference to my 06/2010 E70 Sport. After checking my chassis number they tell me that there is no recall or quality check alert against my car. Now what ?

So the steering wheel position should be recorded with seat position memory ??
Its in for service next week so I will get them to look at it.

E70 Steering Wheel - mind of its own
Hi All
I have a 2010 3.0d Sport. Very pleased with it but the steering wheel electric positioning drives me mad.
Every time I switch the ignition on the electric steering wheel re positions itself it the lowest possible position. I re adjust to get it off my knees and have tried saving the position ...

I'll get a set on order, just wanted to know that they fit well as they're not cheap.

Mud Flaps - E70
Hi All
Has anyone fitted genuine BMW mud flaps front and rear to their E70?
Is the fit good and are they straight forward to install?
Thanks

Re: Anyone got a disklok security device?
I have the same lock as shown in your picture, its well made and I found it easy to fit.
Used it on my M5 mainly as a deterant. It did slightly mark the leather so I started putting a cloth over the wheel first. The action of rotating the lock on the wheel is what marks the leather.

Wanted - 19" Winter wheels and or tyres 2010 E70 X5
Hi
I'm looking for a set of genuine BMW 19" E70 X5 wheels with or without good spec winter tyres.
They must be in very good condition please no kerbing as I'm a fussy sod. Model style not so important.
Also drivable collection distance from Banbury.
Thanks

Hi,
Buy an E39 M5........they will be collectors, only 2500 RHD were made and plenty of those have seen the wrong side of a hedge and gone to the big scrapyard in the sky.
Under £10 K buys you a nice one..........stick a short shift on it, ferrodo DS2500 pads and open up the brake ...

Re: X5 from M5 Hello all
Thank you.
It will be interseting if the E60 M5 will become a collectors car in years to come as the Z3 M coupe is slowly becoming. Time to move on and enjoy the X5.

Re: X5 from M5 Hello all
Thanks,
Its going to be an emotional hand over on Saturday...
Some of the B roads around where I live are no better than dirt tracks with a smear of tarmac here and there, government us of £475 road tax a year. A good number of single track lanes, where meeting an on coming car means driving up ...
