Rear suspension problem

Not sure what the etiquette is here and realizing that this post is 3 years old I ask in the hope you see it. How can I get that air hose connection disconnected if I don't have that black plastic clip you were talking about? Any help would be appreciated No issues with asking for help on an old ...

Dipping Wing Mirror

You still got that monster tuned 335 that you had a couple of years back? That probably needed auto-folding mirrors for when it approached the sound barrier!!
Hey buddy, hope you're well.

Yes still have the 335. Few more bits done to it now lol.

Dipping Wing Mirror

Electric folding mirrors are the worst on the E53. I'm glad even with all the options I have on this one I have manual folding so never have to worry about them failing.

Selflevel. susp.inact error E53 3.0D 2005

See you've tried a number of things to resolve this. The air suspension on these is a pain. From everything you've done and tested and explained I'd more than likely lead towards the control module behind the glovebox. I had an issue with my first 4.8is which has full front/rear air and although the ...

Re: Coil over suspension

Thanks Raj I'll have a search and do my homework. I'll have plenty of time as I have some shoulder joint replacement surgery coming up very soon and from experience with the other side it will take a while before I am back on deck. No problem at all. Hope the surgery goes well and if you need ...

Re: 2004 x5 4.8is problems

It certainly sounds battery related but as you’ve had the battery replaced already I’d start to look at the alternator. If only doing short journeys then yes could be that you’ve killed the battery again with not getting recharged fully once started. I had issues with my first 4.8 and I would get a m ...

Re: Coil over suspension

I’m sure there’s pics on here somewhere definitely Richard  So it does depend on the coilovers you go with as the likes of KW V3’s the rear spring along with perch do actually occupy the space where the airbag goes so it maintains a similar setup to OE. I think BC are more like what you ref ...

Re: 4x4 light on, codes for steering angle sensor

Firstly they thew full lock to lock as mentioned Leslie mentioned. If that works for a short while then try getting the steering angle sensor reset BUT I personally think if the error returns it's most likely a new sensor needed. I've just had the one on ours replaced under warranty but they did try ...

I think I was there for that one, can't see my old Estoril blue E53 in that picture, it was probably being mapped by Jason at the time!

And Raj, another epic piece of work. Truly beautiful.
Thanks. Think at that meet I had my 335i there possibly.
