Thanks Graeme - the car is off the road till I get the tyres replaced on Saturday - sure they have a hunter alignment thingy there so will get that booked in too. Thanks though the fronts seem fine - we live in a road with those bloody small speed islands so you can drive over them by straddling ...

So just had a service and they picked up both rear tyres had inner wear down to the wires.... To be fair they've been on there since I brought it back in 2013 so budgeted replacements soon but they still had reasonable tread depth.

Main concern is why this is happening - seen something about ...

Hi Graeme - good point. In short, yes, it does obscure the number plate but there is a spot on the rack to put a spare plate - don't think it has lights though.

I have the Bmw rack that screws into the towing eyes and it's bloody brilliant! Absolutely recommend it, managed to find mine on eBay and has been a great purchase compared to the roof bars I had for my old M3. It tilts to allow the boot to open when fully loaded, locks to the car and both bike arms ...

Mine is in at the moment - they said it's the universal joint and initial check says it's ok - but they are taken out to listen for excessive noise and check tyre wear - seem right???
